Belarusian PEN has opened applications for the Ales Adamovich Award for works published in 2025. The award emphasizes human dignity, freedom of thought, and creativity in the most challenging conditions, writes bellit.info.

Works that document reality, gather true testimonies about socio-political life, and highlight problems relevant to the human community can be nominated for the award, primarily referring to journalism in its broadest sense.

Applications are accepted until April 20. To apply, you need to fill out a Google Form. In case of technical problems, materials can be sent to the email address [email protected] with the subject line «Adamovich Award 2026/author's first and last name/authors' first and last names, title of work».
The Ales Adamovich Award was established in 1995 and is presented for the best non-fiction book of the year. Since 1996, the laureates of the award have included Siarhei Piatrouski, Ryhor Baradulin, Vital Taras, Aliaksandr Stupnikau, Liudmila Kheidarava, Ihar Hiarmianchuk, Barys Hamaida, Herman Kirylau, Zhanna Litvina, Siarhei Dubavets, Mikhas Skobla, Siarhei Shupa.
