25-year-old designer from Pinsk, who painted walls for a social center, convicted for political reasons
Yana Maskaleva helped create logos and drew illustrations. But recently, the girl was convicted under a criminal article for "facilitating extremist activity."

Yana Maskaleva is 25 years old and comes from Pinsk. In 2020, she graduated from the Pinsk State College of Arts with a specialization in "Design and Typography."
During her studies, the girl repeatedly received laureate diplomas in graphic design nominations, participated in the development of a mascot for the 2019 European Games, and even did charitable wall painting for the local territorial social service center.
After graduating from college, Yana began working as a designer and illustrator. She created logos, corporate identity, printed products, and 3D visualizations. In her professional profile, the girl wrote that she strives for depth and meaning to help brands communicate with clients on an emotional level.
Recently, Yana was convicted in the Brest Regional Court under parts 1 and 2 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code (facilitating extremist activity). Persecution under this article is usually related to the Hayun case.
The girl was sentenced to restricted freedom.
