Villager cut the hair of his 80-year-old mother and forced her to eat
A resident of Vawkavysk district will be tried for torturing his mother.
For three days, he severely abused the woman — beat her and even cut her hair, then left her in a helpless state. The pensioner was hospitalized with numerous injuries. The conflict occurred in December last year, the prosecutor's office reported.
The man demanded money from his 80-year-old mother, planning to spend it on alcohol. After being refused, he began to beat the woman: hitting her head with a rubber slipper and his fists.
The next day, the conflict resumed. After one of the blows to the head, the woman fell. Without providing her assistance, the man left the house.
"Upon returning the next day, he saw her on the floor in the same spot. When the woman began to crawl towards the landline phone to call for help, her son grabbed the interior door and forcefully began to close it, inflicting several blows to her leg.
Then he cut his mother's hair with office scissors, which he then began to stuff into her mouth, demanding that she eat them, after which he hit her head with a rubber slipper with a wooden block," the agency reported the details of the incident.
The pensioner was found by neighbors, who called an ambulance. Doctors diagnosed a closed head injury, multiple rib fractures, a fracture of the left femur, and bodily injuries to the head, torso, arms, and legs.
The man has been detained, and the criminal case has been sent to court. The maximum penalty is up to 10 years of imprisonment.
