Belarus plans to launch a new spacecraft into orbit in 2028. It will be built in the country and will become part of a joint grouping with Russia of three small satellites, Ivan Bucha , deputy head of the aerospace activity department of the National Academy of Sciences apparatus, told reporters.

This apparatus will study near-Earth space and help predict magnetic storms. Special instruments will be installed on it that can record charged particles after solar flares. This will allow early detection of magnetic storms and prediction of their development.
Such storms can negatively affect electronics, including critical systems — for example, energy or railway transport. Early detection makes it possible to prepare and reduce potential losses.
The development is part of the national space program. Belarus has already launched two small spacecraft into orbit: one studies the ionosphere, the other tracks temperature anomalies on Earth. The peculiarity of the latter is that it processes data directly on board and immediately transmits important information.
These technologies already have practical application. For example, thanks to space monitoring of fires, it was possible to significantly reduce the areas of ignition. Rescuers receive information very quickly and can go precisely to the necessary locations.
Control over peatlands has also significantly expanded: almost all such territories in the country are now monitored. This has significantly reduced the number of emergency calls for rescuers.
Belarusian monitoring systems are used not only within the country but also for observing neighboring territories, which helps to respond to threats, such as fires, in a timely manner.
Currently, a new, fourth space program has already begun in Belarus. Development of cooperation with Russia and other countries is also planned, including in the field of modernization of space infrastructure and increasing the service life of satellites.
Special services gained access to Signal correspondence, even though the app was already deleted. The same could happen with TG. How so, and how to protect yourself?
