An unusual 1999 Land Rover Defender 90, completely styled as Barbie, will be put up for auction at Barrett-Jackson in mid-April, writes av.by.

This SUV is unique because it is the only Defender in the world with such a complete "Barbie"-themed restoration. The car underwent a complete restoration at the American workshop Epic Auto Restorations, which took over a year. During this time, the car was completely disassembled, and each component was restored individually.

Externally, the car is finished in bright pink, while individual elements — bumpers, radiator grille, running boards, and roll cage — are painted white. The wheels are also kept in the same pink and white color scheme.

The interior is designed for six people and is completely re-upholstered in pink and white leather. Inside, it features sports seats with integrated headrests and a modern multimedia system with a touchscreen. Even elements that usually remain plastic are also painted to match the overall style, including parts of the engine compartment.

Under the hood is a 2.5-liter diesel engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The power output is not disclosed.
The final price at which this car is planned to be sold has not yet been announced.
