Major hosting provider Cloudflare labeled the Russian messenger 'Max' as a spyware application
Hosting provider Cloudflare has labeled the domain max.ru, belonging to the "Russian national messenger", as spyware. A report on this appeared on the Cloudflare Radar platform.
In a fresh report, Cloudflare Radar labeled the max.ru domain, associated with the MAX messenger, as spyware. Previously, a similar label appeared for the domains of the alternative Telegram client Telega.

Spyware is a signal to security systems that an application or website is engaged in hidden data collection and transmission. This can include interception of messages and calls, access to files and geolocation (covert monitoring of movement and personal data), and data transfer to third parties.
AppStore and Google Play typically remove applications with such a reputation.
Russians are being forcibly and completely transitioned to this MAX messenger. Belarusian state organizations are also gradually moving there.
