First Belarusian strawberries, sweet Iranian watermelons, "Florida Beauty" and even the first daffodils. What you can buy at Komarovka before the long weekend
Belarusians are in for a short holiday, so it's time to stock up. Tochka.by looked at what's profitable to buy at the capital's main market.

What is "Florida Beauty"?
There are a lot of people at Komarovka. In some places, there are even decent queues. Usually, where the goods are cheaper.
But more on prices later, first about the new arrivals. So, seedlings are actively brought to the seasonal market.

For example, peppers and tomatoes cost 2.5 rubles per stalk. People are interested in the goods, but they look carefully at the price tags.
Some were angered by the price of strawberry seedlings - from 3 rubles per piece. However, the exclusive variety of remontant berry from the USA, "Florida Beauty," is already being sold for six.

"Of course, it's very expensive, terrible! But in the store, they are already selling for 4 rubles. Last year it was 2.5-3," complains a customer.

Next to the seedlings, there are many different saplings - from apple and pear trees to pines. Prices are not indicated everywhere, so you have to ask.

Belarusian daffodils have already bloomed - they are actively being swept off the shelves. They are sold for 1.5-1.8 rubles per piece. If you buy giant bouquets, you'll get a discount.

"I'll give you 20 pieces for 15 rubles. Take them, they're gorgeous!" the seller entices a customer.

The girl couldn't resist and bought two bouquets at once.
As for popular vegetables, Belarusian stability is in full swing at the market.
Potatoes are sold for 1.09-3 rubles per kilo, onions cost 1.59-3.5, carrots - 0.9-4 rubles, beets - 0.99-3.5 rubles.

However, young cabbage has started to get actively cheaper. If a couple of weeks ago its price reached 6 rubles per 1 kg, now it's almost twice cheaper - 2.9-4. Cauliflower is asked for 4.9-5.9 rubles, sauerkraut is sold for 4.9-12 rubles.

Radish prices are pleasing again. You can already buy it for just 4 rubles per kilo.
As for cucumbers, there are Russian and ours. They cost 5.99-9.9. There are more tomatoes, they are sold for 6.9-25 rubles. Peppers have also become cheaper - already 5.9 rubles per kilo.

Eggplants and zucchini are still expensive - 9.9 and 10-12.9 rubles respectively.

Prices for greens also hold, minimally - 20-35 rubles per 1 kg. The same goes for garlic - 15-25 rubles.
Start of the Belarusian strawberry season
The most important find is Belarusian strawberries. They appeared on the market just a couple of days ago. Selected ones are sold for 38 rubles per kilo.

As for imported berries, the price starts from 9.9 rubles. The market average is 10.9-13.9.

There are also white ones for 9.9 per kilo. We tried them, and the opinion is: no strawberry taste, rather like grass, the berry is watery. We won't buy them again.
In general, when buying strawberries, you should be careful: dishonest sellers can sometimes put rotten berries at the bottom of the tray and cover them with beautiful berries on top.

So it's better to immediately check the contents of your bag near the counter, even if it's tied with three knots. Confidently return any substandard goods.
Also among the novelties are sugar Iranian watermelons for 10 rubles and Brazilian melons for 12 per 1 kg.

As often happens, not all sellers of these products advertise prices. You ask a logical question - some grimace. But it's simple: don't hide the price tags - there will be no unnecessary hassle.
In some places, there are watermelons for 5.9 and melons for 7.9 rubles per kilo.
There are also no very cheap pineapples at the market: a stemmed fruit is asked for 8.9-19.9 per 1 kg. But there are many budget oranges. Some are even from 2 rubles per kilo, but they are already "overripe." On average - 3.9-6 rubles.

The cheapest lemons cost less than 5 rubles per kilo, more expensive - 12.
Among berries, there are still many expensive blueberries - 100 per 1 kg.

As for vegetables, many sellers have them more expensive than in chain stores, but there are a couple of places where acceptable prices are found.
