The "live broadcast" of the parade will go out with a traditional delay of several minutes. If something happens during the propaganda event, viewers will see nothing on their screens, because a recording of the parade rehearsal at the military training ground in Alabino near Moscow, where a mock-up of Red Square was created, has been prepared as a backup. The recording there was made without showing the stands, and it will be immediately switched on in case of an emergency.
For the same purpose, accreditations for foreign media to the parade were cancelled, and footage from Russian media will undergo traditional multi-level censorship.
To further reinforce the Kremlin's information defense, mobile communication and internet will be completely switched off during this time.
