The Kremlin revoked accreditations for the German magazine Der Spiegel and other foreign media outlets.
Kremlin representatives called to announce the revocation of accreditations for the May 9 parade. According to the publication, among those who were rejected were also ARD, ZDF, Sky, the AFP news agency, the Italian TV channel Rai, and the Japanese NHK.
A Kremlin employee told Der Spiegel: "The format for covering the parade has been changed due to the situation. Therefore, foreign media whose accreditation was previously confirmed are now not allowed."
Other foreign media were told: "Only Russian media are allowed."
This is the first time that accreditations for the May 9 parade were initially issued to foreign journalists and then revoked.
