Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow had not received proposals from Kyiv for a prisoner exchange, as stipulated by the truce that the parties agreed upon with US mediation. The Office of the President of Ukraine reported that this statement does not correspond to reality.

"No proposals have reached us yet, unfortunately," Putin told reporters.
According to him, Russia allegedly sent Kyiv a list of 500 Ukrainian servicemen held in Russia as early as May 5.
"Initially, the reaction was that they needed to look more carefully, maybe not all 500, maybe 200. And then they completely disappeared from the radar and directly said that they were not ready for this exchange," Putin said.
The truce agreement, announced by US President Donald Trump, envisioned a prisoner exchange in a "1000 for 1000" format.
The Office of the President of Ukraine reported that this statement does not correspond to reality. Work on the 1000 for 1000 exchange continues, the Office noted, writes "Suspilne".
"Vladimir Putin's statements that Ukraine allegedly told the Russian Federation about its unwillingness to exchange prisoners do not correspond to reality. Since the agreement was reached with US mediation, the actual implementation of the exchange depends on the American side's ability to act as its guarantor. Active contacts on this issue are currently underway," an unnamed source told the publication.
The reason for the delay was not specified.
