At least three more people have been convicted under an administrative article for participating in the "Hukannie Viasny" ritual in Gomel, accused of holding an unauthorized mass event, writes "Flagstock".

The ritual took place on March 21, and the statute of limitations for administrative liability under the Code of Administrative Offenses is two months from the date of the offense. Therefore, the police were able to legally punish several more people for participating in the ritual.
As a reminder, previously at least one participant of "Hukannie Viasny" received 15 days of arrest, five people — maximum fines of 100 base values, which is 4,500 rubles (more than 1.5 thousand dollars). Another person, who was considered the organizer, received a fine of 150 base values, which is 6,750 rubles (almost 2.3 thousand dollars).
Among those fined, according to "Flagstock", was also district police inspector Viktar Shypkou. He was not fired — he is still listed as a district inspector in the Ministry of Internal Affairs database.
The "Spadchyna" restaurant, where the ritual was held, continues to operate — it was closed for some time, but then reopened. However, events on the theme of Belarusian culture and cuisine are no longer announced here.
