Trump's posts sparked outrage among the victim's relatives. They stated that the dissemination of such deeply offensive content causes the family additional suffering and called for an end to the publication of similar materials. British police also urged against circulating the attack video.
The deceased, William Chapman, was 23 years old. According to his relatives, he was a bright, kind, and charming young man. For many years, Chapman had been receiving treatment for a serious mental illness and taking potent medication. The family noted that it still needs to be determined what role his condition and treatment might have played in the tragedy.
