Russian serviceman Alexey Korolyov, previously sentenced to 11 years in a penal colony for drug trafficking, is accused of killing six fellow servicemen and extortion. As reported by The Insider, the case is being heard in Donetsk. The identities of all alleged victims were confirmed thanks to the databases of "Mediazona" and "BBC Russian Service".

According to the Ukrainian project "I Want to Live", the conflict occurred on October 24-25, 2025, in the Kharkiv region. The reason was an erroneous strike by a Russian FPV drone on a quad bike carrying servicemen. A quarrel broke out between soldiers of the 121st Motorized Rifle Regiment and scouts of the 27th Motorized Rifle Brigade over the drone.
The next day, during a new confrontation, Korolyov allegedly opened fire. Six servicemen died, and two others were wounded.

Among the dead was 22-year-old Rodion Kravets. According to The Insider, he previously served in military unit No. 71330, associated with the 16th FSB center, which deals with electronic intelligence and cyber operations. Later, Kravets was listed in the 27th Motorized Rifle Brigade.
Korolyov had previously been repeatedly tried for theft, robbery, and other crimes. In 2023, he was sentenced to 11 years in a high-security penal colony for attempted drug trafficking on a particularly large scale. However, he later ended up on the front.
He has now been charged with the murder of two or more persons and extortion. Court hearings are held in closed session.
