Belarusian Foreign Ministry labels NATO's plan for a potential Russian attack as preparation for aggression
Belarus strongly condemns the statements by General Alexus Grinkevich, Commander-in-Chief of NATO's Allied Armed Forces in Europe, who presented the so-called "Theory of Victory." This was stated by Ruslan Varankov, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

According to Varankov, the concept envisages preventive strikes on Belarusian territory using drones and ground-based robotic systems, although in reality, the NATO plan describes actions in response to a Russian attack on the alliance.
“Under the guise of defensive rhetoric, the bloc is in fact preparing the ground for military escalation and aggression,” the spokesperson stated.
He also asserts that Belarus has threatened no one, and its military doctrine is exclusively defensive. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Western countries for dialogue and restoration of trust.
Grinkevich presented the "Theory of Victory" at the Warsaw Security Forum. Its goal is to deter a potential Russian attack on NATO's eastern flank. The plan includes three stages: repelling an initial attack, halting further advancement, and, if aggression continues, destroying the enemy's ability to command and supply its troops.
In the event of a Russian attack, targets include Russian command posts and air defense systems in Belarus, the Kaliningrad region, and around St. Petersburg. Such strikes are intended to pave the way for an alliance counter-offensive.
Belarusian territory was used by Russia for the invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
