Malian woman tried to leave Belarus for Poland using her cousin's passport
On the evening of October 8, a young woman was passing through the "Brest" border checkpoint and presented a passport of the Republic of Mali for inspection to a border guard. The document aroused suspicion in the border service officer. A check showed that the passport did not belong to the woman who presented it.

The violator turned out to be a citizen of Mali. According to her, she could not enter the European Union with her own passport due to the absence of a visa. Therefore, the girl borrowed a document from her cousin and tried to leave for Poland, intending to continue her journey to France from there.
The Malian woman has now been detained. Administrative proceedings have been initiated for attempting to illegally cross the state border. In addition to a significant fine — up to 100 basic units — the woman also faces criminal liability for using a knowingly forged document.
