The All-Belarusian Cross Procession began on August 18 at the Zhirovichi Holy Dormition Monastery. In total, pilgrims covered 250 km, their route passed through 4 eparchies and 21 churches, writes BelTA.
The final segment of the route, participants of the cross procession walked through Minsk — from the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Theotokos to the Holy Spirit Cathedral. Numerous priests and believers from all eparchies of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, residents, and guests of the city took part in the prayer procession along Pobediteley Avenue.
The prayer procession concluded with a Divine Liturgy near the walls of the Holy Spirit Cathedral. It was led by the head of the BOC (Belarusian Orthodox Church) in concelebration with clergy from all regions of Belarus.
