Reports that a Russian and a Ukrainian fought in the cockpit of a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv turned out to be fake
One pilot was an UAE citizen, and the second pilot was an Omani, suspected of attempting to crash the plane, writes Ynet.

Initially, media, citing Israel's Channel 12, reported that Russian and Ukrainian pilots fought in the cockpit of the FlyDubai plane, which sharply lost altitude. However, it is now reported that one pilot was an UAE citizen, and the second pilot was an Omani, suspected of attempting to crash the plane.
According to Ynet, the second pilot from Oman attacked the Emirati aircraft commander and wounded him with a knife. Investigators believe he may have tried to seize control and crash the Boeing 737 MAX 8 with 174 passengers, including 27 children.
Crew members, a hidden security officer, and several passengers reportedly helped stop the attacker. Other pilots who were flying on this flight as passengers helped land the plane.
One of the passengers told i24NEWS channel:
«We heard screams. When they opened the cockpit, we saw a lot of blood. Someone stabbed the pilot with a penknife».
During the incident, the plane sharply descended from approximately 10 to 4.3 kilometers. The crew first transmitted the general distress signal 7700, and then code 7500, which indicates unlawful interference or aircraft hijack.
The flight, which was traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv, turned around and safely landed in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. FlyDubai confirmed «an incident during the flight» but has not yet disclosed its details. All passengers remained alive.
Israeli security forces are now investigating the incident as a possible terrorist attack. The second pilot's ultimate motive has not yet been established: both ideological and psychological versions are being checked.
The official version has not been announced.
