JAC, BMG, Citroen and more. Which other car brands are assembled in Belarus — besides Geely
If you think that only Geely/Belgee are assembled in Belarus, you are deeply mistaken.

Not all Chinese brands are equally successful
More than 13 years have passed since the start of serial assembly of Geely in Belarus. During this time, the sub-brand Belgee has appeared, and cars of the Geely/Belgee brands have truly become popular.
It is noteworthy that almost in parallel with Geely, other Chinese cars — Zotye — began to be assembled in Belarus. However, the project turned out to be much less successful, and the assembly of Zotye lasted only about seven years — from 2013 to 2020.
Nevertheless, Belarusian car manufacturing is not limited to just the production of Geely/Belgee.
Dongfeng
Cars of this Chinese brand began to be assembled at the Unison plant in Abchak (Minsk district) only in the autumn of 2025, but in just one year they managed to achieve significant success.
In the first half of 2026, more than 1500 Dongfeng cars marked "made in Belarus" were produced.

Currently, the Dongfeng lineup of Belarusian assembly includes four models: the Shine GS crossover, which sells at prices starting from 65 thousand rubles (approx. $21,700), the Shine Max sedan priced from 72 thousand rubles (approx. $24,000), the Mage crossover at prices from 77 thousand rubles (approx. $25,700), and the large Huge SUV, available at prices from 95,300 rubles (approx. $31,800).
Forthing
The Forthing brand belongs to the Dongfeng Motor concern. The Forthing T5 EVO crossover, which recently began to be assembled in Belarus, sells at prices starting from 80 thousand rubles (approx. $26,600). In two years of the brand's presence on the Belarusian market, dealers have already sold 1000 cars. However, fewer than 200 of them are of Belarusian assembly.
JAC
Another Chinese brand whose cars are assembled in Belarus is JAC. However, unlike the aforementioned brands, JAC also produces commercial vehicles. Pickups are assembled at 'Unison', and trucks — in Brest at 'Brestmash'.

Like other Belarusian-assembled cars, they are sold including with the use of preferential lending.
The most affordable JAC T8 Pro pickup costs from 113,800 rubles (approx. $38,000) and has a 2-liter diesel engine.
The T9 pickup costs from 133 thousand ($44,300) for the petrol version and from 138 thousand (approx. $46,000) for the diesel version.
Shineray
In addition, Shineray microbuses are assembled in Abchak — cargo, passenger, and cargo-passenger versions.
However, Shineray's sales volumes are quite modest. In the first half of 2026, about 50 microbuses were assembled in Belarus.
BMG and 'Brestmash' again
In addition to JAC trucks, BMG microbuses, which also have versions for passenger and cargo transportation, have been assembled in Brest since the beginning of 2025.

Production volumes — about 10 cars per month.
Therefore, it seems that for now, among Chinese brands, apart from Geely/Belgee, only Dongfeng, Forthing, and JAC have a significant presence.
Not only Chinese brands
This summer at 'Unison' started assembling three Citroen models at once. However, China was involved here too, as these are models produced jointly with the Chinese Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company LTD.

The most affordable — the compact hatchback Citroen C 3-XR — sells at prices starting from 75 thousand rubles (approx. $25,000).
Prices for the Citroen C5 Aircross start from 95 thousand rubles, or approx. $31,700.
Prices for the C5X, assembled in Belarus, started from 96 thousand rubles (approx. $32,000) upon their appearance. However, the seller's website now indicates that such cars are not in stock and are only available by order from the factory.
What do the sales show?
As the model range expands, sales of Belarusian-assembled cars are growing. In just six months of 2026, 18,347 units were assembled, which is 60% more than in the first half of 2025 (11,442 units). However, the main growth comes from Geely/Belgee. As for new brands, Dongfeng and Forthing, which belong to the Dongfeng Motor concern, show the best dynamics. It appears that they will create genuine competition for Geely/Belgee.
And if the positive dynamics continue, Dongfeng Motor could become the first truly successful project for the much-suffering 'Unison' plant, whose capacities have been used to assemble all sorts of cars.

Reference about 'Unison'
At the plant in Abchak, cars of various brands have been assembled with varying degrees of success for three decades.
It all started with Ford. The Americans provided an assembly line for cars and also invested about $10 million, establishing the production of Ford Transit microbuses and Ford Escort passenger cars in 1997. It was planned that the enterprise would produce about 6300 cars annually, the main part of which was intended for sale in Russia.
But by the shutdown of production in 2000, only about 3600 Ford brand cars had been assembled in Belarus.
Later in Abchak, Polish 'Lublin' microbuses, Iranian 'Samand', Chinese Zotye, Opel Mokka / Chevrolet Tracker, and even Chevrolet Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade were assembled.

However, none of the projects could become long-lasting and successful.
Perhaps with Dongfeng, everything will finally work out, and the 'Unison' plant will be able to shed its association with a cursed place where every launch of a new car brand assembly eventually fails.
