Belarusians participated in Operation Vivaldi. Their unit captured 20 prisoners and eliminated over a hundred enemy fighters
Among the killed was also found a Russian mercenary from Mogilev, 36-year-old Roman Kondratenko.

Belarusian volunteers, primarily fighters of the Belarusian Volunteer Corps (BDC), took active part in Operation Vivaldi. The BDC operated as a reconnaissance infantry company within the HATRED reconnaissance battalion (3rd Assault Brigade). Some volunteers also carried out other special tasks.
Details of the Belarusians' participation in Operation Vivaldi were shared by former political prisoner Kim Samusenka in his Telegram channel.

Belarusian volunteers participated in operations in the areas of Redkodub, Novoye, Lipovoye, Katerynivka, and Zelenaya Dolina, as well as in the forest belts near Kolodezy, Ivanivka, and Novolyubavka.

According to the unit's data, Belarusian fighters accounted for over a hundred eliminated enemy soldiers, and another 20 were taken prisoner.
Among the killed was also a citizen of Belarus, 36-year-old Roman Kondratenko.
A year ago, on September 10, 2025, an announcement about his search appeared in one of Mogilev's public channels. It turned out that during this time he had joined the Russian army.

One of the Belarusian volunteers told Kim Samusenka some details of this operation.
"During the first sortie, the guys captured enemy platoon commanders and the commander of an enemy reconnaissance company. They gathered a lot of information about the situation on the combat line and in the enemy's rear. Fully seizing the initiative, our groups went deep into the enemy's rear, to the positions of enemy aerial reconnaissance and artillerymen. They successfully took prisoners and disrupted logistics," the fighter said.
He says that many aspects have changed in 2026.
Now it has become more difficult for infantry reconnaissance to reach the area of interest. This requires several days of marching, new principles of group formation and echeloning, camouflage, and communication.
The enemy uses attack drones, remote mining, artillery, and even aviation.
Among the changes, for example, nighttime operations are now almost not carried out due to the widespread use of aerial reconnaissance with thermal and infrared cameras.
"It can be said that now our warriors are experiencing the best period of rise. The atmosphere of early 2022, but with great experience and broader capabilities." Unfortunately, war does not happen without injuries. During the operation, one of the Belarusian volunteers received a severe injury," the Belarusian volunteer told Kim Samusenka.
Operation Vivaldi began with the elimination of Russian infiltration in the Liman city area, but escalated into a large-scale counter-offensive.
Brigadier General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Biletsky, who commanded the operation, said that during the operation, 16 villages were returned under Ukrainian control and 277 km² were liberated.
"We prevented the enemy from flanking the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and encircling it, and also defended the Kharkiv — Sloviansk highway. The enemy was unable to cut off the key logistical artery of our group in Donbas. We thwarted the offensive of the 'West' group and forced it to transfer some units of the 1st Tank Army, which weakened the pressure on Kupyansk-Vuzlovy," Andriy Biletsky stated.

The animation published by French OSINT analyst Clément Molin shows how the front line changed from May 22 to September 5. Ukrainian troops gradually attacked the flanks of the Russian salient, after which they pushed the enemy back towards the Zherebets River, Nevske, and Makiivka.
Thus, the results of approximately a year of the Russian offensive in this sector were largely lost.
