Brazilian man sold all his property and traveled 2000 kilometers for a woman. But he faced a harsh disappointment
The blonde Jessica Oliveira from a farm so charmed the man that he didn't feel any trickery.

49-year-old builder Edimar Martins from Brazil fell so deeply in love with a woman generated by artificial intelligence that he sold everything he owned to move in with her.
Edimar told Brazilian TV Mirante that he had been following the profile of the blonde Jessica Oliveira on social media since 2020 and believed she was real. He sold all his property to pay for the journey to her — more than 2000 km between the city of Imperatriz, where the man lived, and Belo Horizonte.
Jessica's profile had over 300 thousand followers. She described herself as divorced, looking for a man to live with on a farm, and promised him financial assistance. The profile also advertised an online store.
Edimar didn't sense a scam, as he was never asked for money; on the contrary, the profile even offered to pay for his trip.
The truth came out when the man couldn't find his beloved in Belo Horizonte and went to a local radio station. There, he was told that it was a fake and the videos were made by AI.
Local residents helped Edimar, and the Belo Horizonte city hall provided food, lodging, and a ticket to Augustinópolis, where he was born. He now lives with relatives in Imperatriz. But he says he doesn't regret it and wants to go looking for love again.
