At least, that's the picture emerging in the UK. But not everyone is lucky.

Millennials (born between 1981 and 1996) were once considered the unluckiest generation in modern history. Some of them entered adulthood during the 2008 crisis. Housing became unattainable for them, and they themselves had the stereotype of being frivolous spenders, writes The Sunday Times.
The publication analyzes the British situation.
The oldest millennials are already around 45. They are likely to become the richest generation in history. The average real post-tax income for those born in the 1980s in the UK was about £41.4 thousand ($55.5 thousand), more than any previous generation at the same age. After stagnation in their 20s and 30s, their earnings began to overtake Generation X.
People over 65 in Britain own real estate worth over £2.5 trillion ($3.35 trillion), and it will be passed down to their children. Every third person born in the 1980s will receive an inheritance equivalent to approximately ten years of average salary (for the 1960s generation, it was every sixth). Therefore, millennials take more risks: they change jobs more often, start businesses, and invest more in stocks.
However, the generation is very unequal, with some living on low incomes. And the average British millennial at 40 years old still does not own their home; almost a quarter of forty-year-olds rent an apartment (previously it was about 6%).
Therefore, on average, millennials earn more than everyone else, but their well-being increasingly depends on whether their parents are wealthy.
