«I'm not saying this is the goal of our partners. I don't want to think that our American partners believe the war can be ended faster at Ukraine's expense. But that's how it looks.»

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with Bloomberg, touched upon relations with the American administration.
Zelenskyy said that in response to Trump's demand to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries, he made a counter-proposal.
«My latest model was this: we don't touch Russian diesel fuel, you give us missiles for Patriot systems to protect our facilities. But they want us to just stop attacks on diesel fuel. And if we strike, they'll cut something off for us.»
«I believe steps have been taken to force Ukraine to capitulate,» Zelenskyy said. «I'm not saying this is the goal of our partners. I don't want to think that our American partners believe the war can be ended faster at Ukraine's expense. But that's how it looks.»
Zelenskyy also stated that the US is delaying deliveries of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems, which are used to destroy Russian ballistic missiles that cause the most damage to the infrastructure of Ukrainian cities.
Currently, the US supplies Ukraine with only 12 Patriot interceptor missiles per month, which is approximately a quarter of the rate under Joe Biden's administration. Under Trump, the US sells these missiles to Ukraine, whereas Biden provided them for free as military aid.
Zelenskyy also spoke about Putin.
«I think the US president has a really good relationship with Putin,» Zelenskyy said. «But something isn't working here. At this moment, Trump cannot force Putin to stop the war.»
