In the Zaslavl Reservoir, better known as the Minsk Sea, fishermen caught a giant catfish whose length exceeds human height. Photos of the catch were published on Threads, writes the 'Smartpress' publication.

One of the fishermen is named Andrei Markevich. The group was planning to catch zander, but instead caught a huge catfish. Its exact length and weight are not reported.

The photo shows that it took two people to hold the fish.
«If you're going to swim in the Minsk Sea, be careful», — warned the fisherman, hinting at the giant catfish. Another participant in the fishing trip noted that this is not yet the limit.
The fish was nicknamed Leopold, but they didn't take it home — after the photo session, the catfish was released back into the reservoir.
