The US President published a lengthy post on Truth Social about the latest developments in relations with Ukraine and Russia, again attacking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"My decision regarding Russia is very simple. I am currently negotiating to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and I do not want to do anything that would foolishly alienate Russia from participating in negotiations," Trump stated.
The US President claims that "significant progress" has been made, including in ongoing hostage exchange talks. According to him, Russia is now doing almost nothing to help Iran: "And I would like it to remain that way, and I will achieve it, unless foolish people hinder me," writes the BBC.
Trump continues to claim that Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries are pushing global diesel prices up, and with them, fuel prices in the US are also rising. He emphasizes that, despite Ukrainian strikes, Russia supplies millions of tons of diesel fuel to world markets.
"Zelenskyy doesn't care about this," claims the US President, whose relations with the Ukrainian leader have sharply deteriorated in recent days after the suspension of sanctions against Russian diesel fuel.
Recalling that Europe provides "huge sums" to Ukraine, and also mentioning financial aid from US President Joe Biden, Trump concluded: "He [Zelenskyy] does not want to end this war – and probably never did."
"Two years ago, he could have made a much better deal than now. His country is destroyed, a significant part of the territories is lost, access to seas and oceans is lost, and the male population has either significantly decreased, or suffered severe injuries, or died. I WANT THIS WAR TO END!" Trump wrote.
On Sunday, on NBC, Zelenskyy stated that the latest US actions – the decision to allow imports of Russian diesel fuel and the suspension of the law on strengthening sanctions – would harm Ukraine.
"If the United States officially sides with Russia – if these two countries act together – then, of course, we will not win and will not be able to stand," said the President of Ukraine.
On Sunday, US President Donald Trump explained his actions regarding Moscow by saying that he does not want to alienate Russia from the negotiating table.
In October, the US President suspended sanctions against Russian diesel fuel and put on hold the consideration of Lindsey Graham's bill on introducing new tough sanctions. This provoked criticism against him, including from Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In an interview with NBC on Sunday, Zelenskyy expressed hope that Trump would reconsider his decisions. "I believe that all these are mistakes that will help neither us nor the US itself," said the President of Ukraine.
"My decision regarding Russia is very simple. I am currently negotiating for peace in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and do not want to do anything that could foolishly alienate Russia from the negotiating table," Trump replied to the criticism in a lengthy post on Truth Social.
According to him, there is "significant progress," including in "current negotiations on the release of hostages," and Russia "is doing very little, if anything," to help Iran. And Zelenskyy "is using" Russian oil refineries as targets, "knowing that these attacks are seriously harming global diesel fuel markets, including the US market."
"Zelenskyy doesn't care about this," Trump continued. "He doesn't want to end this war and probably never did. Two years ago, he could have made a better deal than now."
At the same time, Zelenskyy reported on NBC that the US "unblocked" the transfer of intelligence to Kyiv: "We are very grateful for this, everything is working now."
A few days ago, Trump said that Washington continues to share intelligence. It is necessary for Ukraine to receive timely warnings about ballistic missile strikes. Earlier, Zelenskyy claimed that such warnings stopped arriving simultaneously with the slowdown of Starlink's operation.
Ukraine receives aid from the US that is unavailable to Russia, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in an interview with NBC. As an example, he cited the exchange of intelligence, as well as the supply of American weapons to other countries, which then transfer them to Ukraine.
Speaking on Meet the Press immediately after the broadcast of the interview with Zelenskyy, Bessent advised the President of Ukraine to be very careful with statements about the reduction of support from the US.
At the same time, he did not give a direct answer to the question of whether Washington considers Kyiv its ally.
"This morning Zelenskyy offered a false dilemma, claiming that Ukraine must necessarily win," Reuters quoted Bessent as saying. "The war must end, and it will happen through the achievement of a certain agreement in negotiations."
In his post, Trump did not mention Ukraine's massive attack on St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region on Saturday night. Its targets were the data processing center of VK company and the St. Petersburg Fuel Terminal.
