Bicycle thief to be tried in Minsk — faces 18th conviction. Last time he stole three bikes
In May, a 42-year-old man was released from a correctional colony once again and reached Orsha on the same day. There, walking around the city, he decided to steal a bicycle.

Entering the entrance of a residential building, the man chose a bicycle not secured to the railings, rolled it into the yard, and rode it to a garage cooperative, where he sold it to a stranger for 50 rubles, Minsk-news reports.
After that, the perpetrator headed to the capital to his friend. Over the next few days, he stole two more bicycles from the entrances of houses on Syrakomli Street, which he also sold to the first people he met for 40 and 50 rubles.
After some time, the man's involvement in the thefts of two-wheeled transport was established, and another criminal case was initiated against him.
The man had previously been brought to criminal responsibility 17 times for committing property crimes; now it could be the 18th time.
According to him, the man was charged with committing crimes under Part 2 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code ("Theft"). The citizen fully admitted his guilt.
A measure of restraint was not chosen for the accused, as he is currently serving a four-year prison sentence in a strict-regime colony.
