The containers will appear in the Maskouski and Frunzenski districts of the city in early October.
Unnecessary wardrobe items or footwear can be left in them.
The main condition: items must be packed in a bag beforehand.
Collected textiles will be sent for sorting, and then for further processing.
Moreover, the containers will appear not at existing collection points, but separately, in high-traffic areas. This is expected to reduce the likelihood of foreign waste getting in.
The Minsk City Housing and Utilities believes that the new project will help residents of the capital conveniently dispose of unwanted clothing and footwear, reduce waste, and treat resources more carefully.
