Brest Resident Drunk Drove Colleague's Car to "Practice"

In Brest, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1, Article 214 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (unauthorized taking of a vehicle). The accused is a 29-year-old local resident who had previously come to the attention of law enforcement.

The incident occurred in a garage where the man was relaxing in the company of acquaintances and colleagues. During the gathering, those present were consuming alcohol. At some point, the man went out to talk on the phone and noticed one of his colleagues' cars. The key, meanwhile, remained in the ignition.

The Brest resident decided to get behind the wheel to, as he explained, "practice." Moreover, he did not have a driver's license and was drunk. Another intoxicated acquaintance, who happened to be passing by, got into the car with him.

The ride, which at first seemed like a short amusement, quickly became dangerous. The passenger almost immediately realized the risk and persistently urged the driver to turn around and return to the garage. However, during the turn, the "practice" of the inexperienced driver ended in an accident.
