The operation of Starlink satellite communication terminals, used by Ukrainian servicemen, has begun to recover after outages. This was reported on October 14 by former Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to the former official, the terminals once again allow speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour. This should enable the resumption of flights for attack drones and interceptor drones. Mykhailo Fedorov also noted that it is necessary to achieve a complete lifting of speed restrictions for Starshield — a separate network that Starlink offers to government agencies.
Earlier it was reported that Starshield limited its operation on the night of October 14. As a result, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were forced to cancel a number of combat operations. The slowdown in communication also raised concerns about the safety of Ukrainians.
Serhii "Flash" Beskresnov, advisor to the President of Ukraine on the development of technological defense areas, stated that Starlink is used to intercept Russian "Shahed" drones. According to him, the restrictions deprive Ukraine of one of the few effective means of defense against such attacks.
Problems with Starlink arose amid reports of the cessation of American intelligence data transmission to Ukraine.
