At the Reitanau estate in Hrushauka, they want to create an alpaca park, houses, and a banquet hall in the stable

Not long ago, the main house of the Reitanau estate in Hrushauka, Lyakhavichy district, was painful to look at. But today it's already a luxurious location where young couples come for photos, writes Onliner. Next to the estate, large-scale works have unfolded. Here they are creating "Avin Park" — a place that tourists will hardly be able to drive past.

The future "Avin Park" is located right behind the old manor park and the ruins of the brewery. A neat wooded area with a beautifully mowed lawn is the beginning of a large project. Although at first the investor wasn't thinking about anything large-scale.

This is what the estate in Hrushauka looks like today

“We bought land opposite the pond. At that time, we didn't even think about the future; we just decided to hold onto this place. We had bees and api-houses in mind (we love them, know how to work with them, and are good at it), but then our thoughts took off,” — this is how the investor describes the first steps.

Indeed, it was quite difficult to think about beauty. A year ago, the wooded area of almost two hectares looked more like a set for survival movies than a place where one could enjoy spending time. But the debris was cleared, dry trees were cut down, and... they got an ideal site for realizing the boldest ideas.

“Here we will have our own park; we plan to settle several alpacas on the territory to make guests' time more interesting. We will separate the children's area with boulders — many of them have accumulated here from neighboring fields. And over there, covered in moss, lie boulders that were collected back in the time of the gentry. We also want to use them. Also, a cafe will operate on the shore in summer,” says Mikhail Shchuka, director of the private enterprise "Remtranstract," who is now investing in the tourism sector as well.

To the right of the "green island" is the manor lake. It is connected to the "mainland" by a long water canal. The investor also needs to "put it in order" — and it's not just about building beautiful bridges and crossings (they are also planned), but first of all, it's necessary to "overhaul" the engineering infrastructure: repair the sluices, organically integrate the necessary pipeline here.

“The canal will be filled with water. No, it won't be Venice, but it will also be beautiful,” Mikhail laughs. “We'll clean the lake, stock it with fish, and fish will also live in the canal.”

Currently, the work is focused on the left "wing" of "Avin Park." On the right, there are only "sketches" and discoveries: one day, workers accidentally scooped up turf with a bucket and found historical cobblestones under a layer of soil trampled by hundreds of feet.

They didn't pretend that nothing had happened — they removed the "earth blanket," revealing almost 1000 square meters of cobblestones leading to the stable.

“At a construction site, especially a historical one, it's probably always like this: you take on one thing, and something else inevitably "catches on,"” notes Mikhail.

By the way, the stable (or carriage house, as is now assumed), built in 1909, also became part of the new complex. It will house banquet halls. An area of more than 700 "squares" (square meters) allows for organizing several celebrations at once (or, if needed, one grand one).

As an employee of the Reitanau estate recounted, people used to swim in this lake — local residents still remember those glorious times.

“Around us are historical and cultural values, so working here is much more difficult than if these were buildings and lands without status. As it is, everything needs to be coordinated; we even sign preliminary projects with the Ministry of Culture. The process takes time and effort. But that makes it more interesting; it's like a challenge to ourselves.”

“By the way, the stable building, which is already over a hundred years old, was recently inspected by specialists who checked the strength of its supporting structures. We are awaiting the verdict and hope that the historical building is capable of withstanding modern loads,” Mikhail reflects.

It will also be possible to stay overnight in "Avin Park": five small houses will be built behind the stable. They will be "accompanied" by their own spa area. Houses for 4 to 6 people will also be located around the lake.

“According to the investment project, we must complete all work by 2030. We are adhering to this plan. But as we go, the scale is growing; several more hectares of land have already been added. So, we don't know what awaits us in the future,” smiles Mikhail Shchuka.
