Belarusian President said neither West and USA
“Such an organisation would be required if it kept to its initially declared provisions,” Lukashenka told journalists today when he participated in the opening of two new metro stations in Minsk.
“The point is that both the West and the US were interested in the OSCE during the confrontation with the mighty USSR.
“Today they don’t need this organisation, and we don’t need it either as it does not fulfil its functions,” Lukashenka highlighted.
“This is the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe. But today’s OSCE does not care about any security and their co-operation is aimed at discord only.”
The special pain of Lukashenka is the OSCE election observation missions: they never recognised any elections held during the rule of Lukashenka free and democratic, but pointed out the atmosphere of terror, violations in forming the election commissions, unequal access to the media and falsifications of vote count.
