Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya took part in the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, which was held today in Oslo. She was invited by María Corina Machado — the Venezuelan opposition leader who became the 2025 Nobel laureate.

"Today I am in Oslo, at the Nobel Prize ceremony, which María Corina Machado is receiving. María Corina bravely and persistently fights tyranny in Venezuela, and no one else deserves this award more.
Her struggle is important not only for Venezuela. It reminds us all: resisting dictatorship is a common, global task.
We in Belarus are going through the same path — through repression, fear, and violence. And today we remember Ales Bialiatski, our Nobel laureate, who remains in detention. We continue to fight for him and for all Belarusian political prisoners.
Today we celebrate everyone who doesn't give up, who continues to fight, who believes in freedom, democracy, and peace. I believe that truth will prevail. And both Belarus and Venezuela will be free," stated Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
María Corina Machado did not attend the award ceremony due to threats from Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro. She was represented at the ceremony by her daughter.
