Denmark's Ambassador to the US, Jesper Møller Sørensen, reacted to this post. He emphasized that the United States and the Kingdom of Denmark are close allies and should continue cooperation. According to him, US security is inextricably linked to the security of Greenland and Denmark, and Greenland itself is already a member of NATO.
The diplomat also noted that Denmark and the US are jointly working to strengthen security in the Arctic. He emphasized the importance of full respect for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark.

The Guardian reminds that already in December, Danish military intelligence called the US a security threat — a statement that previously seemed impossible regarding a NATO ally. The newspaper also writes that possible radical actions by the US, including the overthrow of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, have caused serious concern for the governments of Denmark and Iran.
On the morning of January 3, the US launched airstrikes on Venezuela and detained President Maduro along with his wife. The Venezuelan leader was taken to a detention center in New York, where he was charged with narcoterrorism. Donald Trump stated that the US would effectively govern Venezuela until a "proper transitional period" occurs.
