These figures were presented at an operational meeting at the Minsk City Executive Committee by Yury Horbich, Chairman of the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Minsk-News reports.
By its nature, tubing is uncontrolled. Among those for whom a descent down a hill on a tube ended unsuccessfully, are 76 children and 43 adults. And these are only those who required an emergency medical call-out.
— Some injuries were sustained as a result of collisions with trees, — clarified Y. Horbich. — Patients were diagnosed with multiple and combined injuries, concussions of varying severity, and cases of spinal and limb fractures were also reported.
Y. Horbich noted several locations where most incidents occurred during tubing.
In Frunzensky district, one of the spontaneous hills formed on Labanka Street, and in Zavodskoy district — on Altayskaya Street.
— For tubing, it is necessary to choose only those places that are approved by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. They are properly equipped, — urged Y. Horbich.
