The best Belarusian footballer, who was choosing between Turkish and Korean clubs, moves to Vitebsk's "Maxline"
It became known that 29-year-old midfielder Valery Gromyko, who was recognized as the best footballer of 2025 and whose contract with the Kazakhstani "Kairat" from Almaty recently expired, will continue his sports career in his homeland.

Gromyko signed a contract with "Kairat" in 2024, became a two-time champion of Kazakhstan with them, and played with his team in the group stage of the Champions League. In total, across all tournaments, Gromyko played 57 matches for this team, scoring 7 goals and providing 15 assists.
However, he did not stay with the team after his contract expired, and today it became known that he will spend the next season at "ML-Vitebsk" — the reigning champion of Belarus.
Previously in Belarus, Valery Gromyko played for "Minsk", Soligorsk's "Shakhtyor", and Borisov's BATE. His biography also includes a season spent with Russian "Arsenal" from Tula.
His probable departure from "Kairat" became known several months ago, but his return to his homeland was quite unexpected. Previously, South Korean "Seoul", Turkish "Gaziantep", and Russian "Rubin" from Kazan were named as possible new places of employment for the midfielder.
