Comedian Nurlan Saburov could face 7 to 12 years in Kazakhstan under the article «Mercenary Activity»
For 10 mini-motorcycles he handed over for the needs of the «SMO» in July 2025, Mash writes.
A video recorded by Saburov appeared on social networks last summer, but it was not widely disseminated. In it, he presents 10 new off-road mini-motorcycles, which he bought and handed over to the motor battalion «Wagner Legion «Iskra»» under the command of a Hero of Russia with the call sign «Ratibor».
Kazakhstan's authorities watched the video, and now Saburov faces an investigation and potential criminal liability for mercenary activity — under Article 170 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Nurlan returned to Kazakhstan on February 20 — after a decision to ban him from entering Russia for 50 years. According to TASS, the comedian's entry was banned «due to criticism of the SMO,» as well as violations of migration and tax legislation.
The Kazakh stand-up comedian gained fame in Russia by performing on the TNT channel and in the YouTube show «What Happened Next?». Born in 1991 in Stepnogorsk (Akmola region), he began his career in Yekaterinburg, playing in KVN. Since 2014, he lived and worked in Moscow.
After 2022, his statements on political topics repeatedly caused scandals and led to the cancellation of concerts in Russia.
