Two concrete canopies in the entrances of one house collapsed in Maladzyechna in one morning
In Maladzyechna, on the morning of February 24, concrete canopies of two entrances at house #14 on Maŭčanskaha Street collapsed, reports Kraj.by.

At approximately 06:45, the canopy of the first entrance fell. Four hours later, the canopy of the third entrance also collapsed — even after communal services allegedly reinforced it.
The family of Lizaveta Bialetskaya lives in this house. She said that her husband and son were about to leave the house when they heard a loud sound. At first, they didn't pay attention to it, as snow often fell from the roof onto the entrance before. But when they went down to the first floor, the door was difficult to open — it was jammed by fragments of the concrete slab. From the outside, it became clear that the canopy had collapsed. Fortunately, no one was injured.

After this, the woman began calling communal services. At approximately 09:15, workers arrived, analyzed the situation, then broke up the collapsed slab and removed it. They also cleared ice and snow from the canopies of other entrances. According to a representative of the communal service, the cause of the collapse was not only snow load but also the wear and tear of the structure.

Later it was reported that the canopies of two entrances had been reinforced. The new canopy for the first entrance was supposed to be installed on the same day, while the replacement of others was planned for spring.

However, at approximately 10:50, it became known that the canopy of the third entrance had also collapsed. Residents note that it was also previously considered tilted. The incident caused strong concern and indignation among people, as they fear for the safety of the building and demand a major overhaul of the house, which had been long delayed.
