"Working very hard": Trump made a new statement about ending the war in Ukraine
According to the US President, 25,000 soldiers die monthly in the war in Ukraine.

Donald Trump stated that his country is working hard to end Russia's war against Ukraine. He said this during a speech at a joint session of both chambers of Congress, Reuters reports.
Trump once again reiterated that, in his opinion, the war would never have started if he had been president.
"And we are working very hard to end this horrible war, the killing and slaughter between Russia and Ukraine, where twenty-five thousand soldiers die monthly. Think about it - twenty-five thousand soldiers die every month. A war that would never have happened if I were president," the American leader emphasized.
Earlier, US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff explained under what conditions Ukraine and Russia could conclude a peace agreement. According to him, there can be no peace treaty until Ukrainians feel that the conflict will not repeat itself.
"And our security protocols are designed so that people have a strong feeling that they will be able to live in peace, have a future for their children, not face such violence between the two countries, and that this conflict will never happen again," Witkoff noted.
At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to rumors about a new deadline for ending the war from Trump. He emphasized that Ukraine has always supported a fast track, meaning a quick end to the war.
"Regarding July 4th, that the US or President Trump wants to end the war. I can only support it if the US President said it. For me, this is new information," Zelenskyy noted.
