Dmitry Kalinouski is 48 years old. He was born in Rahachou but grew up in Minsk. After school, from 1995 to 1997, he completed compulsory service in the elite 5th Special Purpose Brigade, based in Maryina Horka. In 2002, he received a programmer's diploma by correspondence from the Faculty of Computer Systems and Networks at BSUIR. In social networks, Kalinouski indicated that he is married and has a child.
Since 2000, Dmitry worked as a system administrator at Belarusian Railways. His work involved setting up network equipment. It is unknown whether he worked until his arrest or had already changed jobs, but he did not change his field of work — in professional chats, he asked about configuring network equipment.
The Minsk City Court sentenced Kalinouski under Part 3 of Article 361 of the Criminal Code ("Calls for restrictive measures or other actions aimed at causing harm to national security").
The man is now serving his sentence — he was likely sentenced to a penal colony.
