Belarusians started going to cafes and restaurants less often

Since the beginning of 2026, Belarusians have started spending less money on cafes and restaurants, Belstat reports .

According to Belstat data, in January-February 2026, retail trade turnover in Belarus reached 15.6 billion rubles. This is 1.3% more than in the analogous period of 2025.

At the same time, the institution noted that Belarusians' expenditures on public catering establishments decreased by 3.4%.

In January-February 2026, Belarusians spent an average of 29 rubles per day. A year ago, this figure was 26.6 rubles.
