The visit takes place on March 25 and 26 at the invitation of the Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK, Kim Jong Un, BelTA reports.
The central event of the visit will be negotiations between the leaders of the two countries.
"Our greatest interest in the DPRK is to strengthen truly friendly, partnership relations. Our friends are here, they are waiting for us. Just as we are waiting for them in Belarus. It's time to more actively develop relations. There is a whole complex of areas that are of interest to both the Belarusian and Korean sides. All of them are reflected in the corresponding friendship agreement, which will be signed by the leaders of our countries. And on the basis of this agreement, we will develop contacts through line ministries and departments," said Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov.
Upon arrival in Pyongyang, Lukashenka visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and honored the memory of the Korean leaders, writes BelTA.
