Driver from Pinsk sent to penal colony for preparing for "mass riots", "insulting" Lukashenka, and "inciting hatred"
Siarhei Palkhouski spent almost his entire life behind the wheel, working as a taxi driver and a driver. But recently, the Brest Regional Court sent him to prison, convicting him under three political articles. Most likely, for comments online.

Siarhei Palkhouski is 48 years old. He was born in Shchuchyn, Hrodna region. But soon the family moved to Pinsk, and he finished school there.
Siarhei was a driver his entire working life. He was an individual entrepreneur and worked as a taxi driver in his native Pinsk. Later he went to Russia for work, where he was a truck driver.
The man is married. In his free time, he is very passionate about fishing.
Siarhei was arrested last year. And recently, the Brest Regional Court sentenced Palkhouski under several articles of the Criminal Code at once. He was convicted of "inciting hatred" (Part 1, Art. 130) and "insulting Lukashenka" (Part 1, Art. 368). In addition, the man was also accused of preparing for mass riots (Part 1, Art. 13 and Part 1, Art. 293).
Usually, such cases are initiated for sharp comments online, discussion of protests or calls for street actions.
Penalties for these articles provide for up to 15 years of imprisonment. It is known that Siarhei Palkhouski is now in a penal colony, but the exact sentence is unknown.
