Ministry of Emergency Situations reported a high risk of forest fires

Rescuers emphasize that burning dry vegetation is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule entails administrative liability – a fine of 10 to 30 base units (approximately 450 to 1350 Belarusian rubles). If significant damage is caused as a result of an ignition, criminal liability may also apply.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also advises against lighting bonfires and using open flames in dry and windy weather.
While visiting forests in Belarus is not yet prohibited, restrictions have been introduced in several regions. These restrictions apply across the entire Grodno region, almost the entire Brest region, and in individual districts of the Minsk and Gomel regions.
