At a meeting with the governor of Russia's Arkhangelsk region, Alexander Tsybulsky, Alexander Lukashenka noted the recent growth of Belarus's opportunities in cooperation with Russia, BelTA writes.
“For better or worse, our opportunities have recently grown in the direction of Russia,” said Alexander Lukashenka. “Today we have to be on the front lines with you. There’s no escaping this. The importance of Belarus is growing in connection with the events taking place around us.”
He noted that Belarus knows its role, which it must play in this world.
“So far, everything is going normally. We are managing here both to warn and to deter our potential adversaries, let's say, not yet enemies, but adversaries. They understand that we are not sleeping here. And if we are sleeping, we see what we should see,” said Lukashenka.
