Payoneer closes accounts for Belarusians

The Payoneer payment system will stop serving accounts for clients from Belarus in September. Belarusians have started receiving corresponding notifications from the company, writes Office Life.

It was previously reported that Payoneer would no longer send transfers to Belarusian bank accounts starting September 1. Companies working with the service were warned about this. Already in November 2025, the payment system announced that it no longer supports dollar payments to our country, while transfers to euro accounts continued to function.

Now, however, the service has warned that it will not be able to service Payoneer accounts for clients from Belarus at all. This is due to changes on the part of its banking partners.

Regarding the deadlines, for example, one of Office Life's readers received the following message:

«Your Payoneer account will be closed on September 11, 2026. After this date, you will not be able to access your account or any remaining funds. Please withdraw all funds from all balances in your account by September 10, 2026. This applies to funds in all currencies.»

Payoneer representatives also advise clients not to delay withdrawing funds until the last day, as «bank payments require processing time, and any delay closer to the deadline could result in your funds becoming inaccessible.»

Since February 2022, not all Belarusian banks work with the Payoneer payment system: clients of banks under Western sanctions cannot withdraw money. Additionally, Belarusians have experienced difficulties creating new accounts.
