The first Belarusian political prisoner, poet Slavamir Adamovich, visited Vilnius. On August 20, he presented his book "Adrenaline" there, and yesterday he attended an event celebrating the 35th anniversary of Belarus's independence, which took place at the House of National Communities.
According to Slavamir Adamovich, this book includes a poem equivalent to the one that gained widespread fame in the 90s under the title "Kill the President!"
— This collection, which I presented in Vilnius, is called "Adrenaline". The second poem in it is already in Belarusian. I assess it as the author: the poem has artistic merits. It is called "The Last Monologue, or The Pedestal for the Scaffold".
"Adrenaline" is Slavamir Adamovich's eighth collection of poems, published in 2024 by Skarynyčy publishing house. This is a unique poetic result of the author's maturity. The book's annotation emphasizes that the poems are "concrete and sometimes even harsh" — appropriate for the time we live in.
