President of Poland Karol Nawrocki posthumously awarded Belarusian activist Aliaksandr Milinkevich the Officer's Cross of the Order "For Merit" to the Republic of Poland.

The high state award was presented at the farewell ceremony to the politician's widow, Inna Kulei, by the advisor to the Polish president, Leszek Skibel.
Aliaksandr Milinkevich was honored "for outstanding merits in activities for the benefit of Poles in Belarus, for achievements in popularizing democratic values, and also for his commitment to building civil society."

The Order "For Merit to the Republic of Poland" is awarded to foreigners for a special contribution to the development of international cooperation.
