Hundreds of Belarusians came today to bid farewell to Aliaksandr Milinkevich. The Polish authorities also showed respect for the Belarusian public figure. An exceptional gesture, given that Milinkevich was a foreigner: Warsaw designated the capital's main cathedral as the farewell venue, and Powązki Military Cemetery, the resting place for distinguished people, as the burial site.
