In Minsk, passengers' tickets are now being checked at final stops
In Minsk, unexpected checks of fare payment have begun at final stops of public transport. This week, passengers noticed that drivers open only the front doors of buses and trolleybuses and do not let people out until their tickets are checked, writes Blizko.by.

One of the passengers in Threads was surprised by this practice and asked on what grounds drivers are performing the duties of controllers and delaying passengers on transport at final stops.
«Minsktrans» initially explained that according to the rules of transportation, the driver has the right to check fare payment, leaving one door for passengers to exit.

On October 30, the enterprise clarified that this is not a personal initiative of individual drivers or bus and trolleybus depots, but a special campaign.
«Minsktrans» claims that passengers generally reacted positively to it. During the checks, several fare dodgers were found. In some cases, the unusual procedure caused disputes, but ticket sales, according to the enterprise, increased compared to the same day of the previous week.
«Minsktrans» thanked passengers who pay for their travel on time and stated that such campaigns will continue.
