"We talked via video call, now we have regular contact," the brother said.

The Belarusian woman who disappeared in Switzerland has made contact. Her brother, former political prisoner Tamaz Pipiya, [informed](https://www.svaboda.org/a/33887287.html) Radio Svaboda about this.
It became known on October 26 that Belarusian citizen Luiza Pipiya, sister of former political prisoners Tamaz and Timur Pipiya, had not been in contact for over a month. After the events of August 2020, Luiza, then 18 years old, actively helped her brothers after their arrest and made their case public. After some time, she had to leave Belarus. She settled in Switzerland, where her husband is from.
In the spring of 2026, Tamaz and Timur were released and forced to leave the country. Both are now in Lithuania. In the first months, Luiza maintained active contact with them, but at the end of August, it ceased. The brothers were forced to contact the media with information about Luiza's disappearance.
"Soon after, she contacted us," Tamaz Pipiya told Svaboda. "We talked via video call, and now we have regular contact. Luiza had personal problems and didn't want to talk to anyone. Now we are in touch."
Let us remind you that at the end of September, information also emerged about the disappearance in Italy of 33-year-old Belarusian citizen Uladzimir Aldokhin. As Svaboda learned, around that time, the body of an unidentified man was found not far from the possible location of the Belarusian's disappearance. Italian authorities are now conducting a genetic examination to determine if it could belong to the missing Belarusian.
