A powerful explosion occurred at an ammunition factory in Granada, Spain, on October 30. At least three workers were injured, all sustaining minor injuries, writes Euronews.

The explosion occurred shortly before 9 AM at the enterprise in the El Farge area. Afterward, a large plume of smoke rose into the sky, visible from various parts of the city. Emergency services received over 30 calls from residents reporting the incident.
The force of the explosion frightened local residents. Some initially thought it was an earthquake. Jesús López, chairman of the El Farge residents' association, told local publication Granada Hoy that it was one of the most powerful explosions he remembers.
According to emergency services, the explosion occurred in a closed area of the factory, known as the gunpowder production section. The three injured were given first aid and were then planned to be transported to Virgen de las Nieves hospital for examination.
Rescuers found no structural damage or serious destruction in nearby residential buildings.
The official causes of the incident have not yet been determined. According to information from the UGT trade union, reported by local media, the explosion could have occurred during a routine quality check of one of the ammunition items.
